CREAM PUFF - Walter Marx; Introduced by Rogers, Sherwood, Oregon, May 19, 1981. Seedling #68-19; Japanese; parentage unknown; first bloomed 1965. Pale but bright pink cream staminodes, bowl-shaped, no seeds, no fragrance, heavy bloom, M, strong stems; 36-inch height; very dark green crinkled and rolled foliage

Sevald:

CREAM PUFF (Marx, introduced by Rogers, 1981) Japanese, midseason. Light pink guard petals, staminodes straw yellow with some pink color. Tips of staminodes are somewhat shredded, giving a delicate, lacy effect. Very nice

Cream Puff (Marx-Rogers, 1981) Pink, Japanese, midseason, 36" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A delicate, lacy center of 'shredded' yellow and pink staminodes cupped by cherry pink guard petals. Another flower arrangers delight!

Comments: A lovely fluffy peony that ís a strong grower. The flowers are of the Japanese form and are a lovely pale pink that blends nicely into the perennial border. Plant in a location where you will view it close up to appreciate the lovely colour nuances within the centre.
