Paeonia 'Florence Nicholls'

type: [herbaceous peony] – [species cultivar] – [lactiflora]

FLORENCE NICHOLLS (Nicholls, 1938) - Double - Blush White - Early Midseason. Very fragrant. Very large double of rose shape, very wide and narrow petals intermingled. Blush white with a scarlet suffusion deepening to the center. Strong upright stems. Very vigorous and floriferous. Seedling #1 from MME. CALOT. Named for Mrs. J. C. Nicholls. Bulletin 73

Florence Nichols (Nichols 1938) M.  Full double; large, blush white, very fragrant.  Strong upright stems.  A fine performer, difficult to fault.

Bloom Period: Week 6

Fragrance: Excellent

Side Buds: 1 or 2 per stem

Comments: At the height of the peony bloom season this peony produces perfectly formed blush pink flowers that over time fade to snowy white. The fragrance is delectable and the side buds ensure the plant is in bloom for an extended period of time.
