JUNE BELLE (Neeley, 1925) - Double - Light Pink - Early. Medium light pink. This variety was given Mr. Gumm and there seems to be no other record of it. List in Bulletin 91.

JUNE BRIDE (Glasscock, 1939) - Double - Pink to White - Very Late. Pleasant odor. Medium size bloom. Pure white, faint pink blush when opened in storage. Form of bud, round; stems long and stiff; foliage broad, dark green. Leaves on plant start at ground. Ideal cut flower plant. Keeps well in storage. Bulletin 76.

JUNE BRILLIANT (Auten, 1938) - Double - Red - Late. Tall. No fragrance. Full double, medium size, petals much curved or waved, nearly flat across top of bloom. Dark red, flushed deeper in center, extra substance. Slender, stiff stems. Very distinct. Bulletin 72.

JUNE DAY (Franklin, 1920) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Medium height. Sweet, not strong fragrance. Large. Light old-rose-pink, with white outer petals graduating to a fine symmetrical rose-bud center, showing an occasional fine narrow crimson line in the middle of the flower and a few stamens in the collar. Vigorous; free-flowering; good stems. Broad, heavy foliage. A very handsome bloom, acquiring a delicate translucent color of the utmost clearness and purity as it ages. M.

JUNE GIANT (Auten, 1941) - Double - Dark Red - Late. Enormous dark red. One of the largest reds List in Bulletin 91.

JUNE MOON (Auten, 1931) - Single - Flesh to White - Fairly Late. Medium height. White single, opening pale flesh. Good size and substance, green carpels, stiff stems. Bulletin 47.

JUNE PINK - Exhibited at Ontario, Canada, 1948. Bulletin 110, page 15.

JUNE ROSE (Jones, 1938) - Double - Rose - Early. A very large, entirely double, deep rose bloom. Dark green foliage. A striking variety and a much admired variety of the type and season of bloom. Bulletin 71.

JUNE WELCOME (Dana, 1926) - Single - Red. Not fragrant. A fine, dark, single red with yellow stamens. Holds color in the sun without fading. A good landscape variety. Bulletin 28.

KAGAWA (Kelsey, 1935) - Jap. - Rose-Pink - Early. Dark rose-pink. Guard petals pink, surrounding a ring of staminodes, edged rose, which are also intermingled, twisted and overlapping larger petals of lighter shade. Medium size. A very interesting flower. List in Bulletin 109.

KAHOKIA (Auten, 1931) - Single - Red. Medium height. Black red single, about medium height, stiff stems. Bulletin 47.

KANKAKEE (Auten, 1931) - Single - Red - Late. Medium height. Brilliant medium dark red. Stiff stems. Bulletin 47.

KANSAS (Bigger, 1940) - Double - Red - Early. 30" high. Bright clear red, containing almost no blue. Fades very little, if any. Dependable bloomer every year. Buds all open and color carries better than most reds. Stems strong. Large bloom. Mr. Bigger's 1955 list says 1942. Bulletin 80 shows it registered in 1940.

Very bright crimson with very little blue in it, outer petals large and waved, central petals incurved and notched. Free-flowering. Strong stems. Good foliage. Of good color, excellent form, and reliable blooming habit. Good for both cutting and garden decoration. M.

KATE BARRY (Nicholls, 1938) - Jap. - Mauve Pink - Midseason. Tall. Double row of soft mauve pink petals with orange staminodes. Harmonious yellow-green carpels. General effect, glowing salmon pink. The excellent shape is retained until the bloom wilts. Strong stems. Vigorous and floriferous. Seedling from AMA-NO-SODE. Bulletin 73.

KATE SMITH (Murawska, 1950) - Double - Dark Pink - Late Midseason. Medium height. Fragrant. Pull rose type of a very distinctive bright rose pink with orange cast. Strong stems and dark green foliage. Flowers large and freely produced. Bulletin 122.

KATHALO (Kelsey, 1934) - Jap. - Yellow Pink. The orchid of peonies. A delightful blending of shades of pink and yellow difficult to describe. An artistic bloom. Bulletin 80. (Bulletin 109 spells is Kathelo, but Kelsey's garden records show it Kathalo.)
