SYLVIA LOUISE (Kelway, 1915) - Double - Red (Tyrian-Purple)- Midseason.

SYLVIANE (Lemoine, 1924) - Double - White - Midseason. Anemone type, large. Broad white guard petals, sometimes marked crimson on outside, and smaller pale canary-yellow petals in the center, lighter at the tips when first opening, and fading pure white. The iritroducer calls it "rose", that is, double type, but the flowers observed were certainly not, however, the carpels seemed inclined to "feather" or develop as petals, and possibly well grown specimens would show true double form. Crimson lines are frequent in the center, but some flowers lack this. M.

SYMPHONY (Brethour, 1928) - Double - Pink - Early Midseason. Very delicate fragrance. Large flower, light salmon pink. Very strong grower in clusters. Fine for cut bloom. Bulletin 37.

TATSUGASHIRA (Dragon's Head) (Origin unknown) Jap. - Red. 1952 Wild catalog: A very dark pink, with bright golden center. This is described as red in the peony manual, and like L'Etincelante in the singles, might be classed in the light reds. M.

T. B. TERRY (Pleas, 1911) - Double - White - SUPPRESSED - Midseason.

T. C. THURLOW - Could be same as THOMAS C. THURLOW. (Coit #2470 shows a peony by this name, as advertised by Kelway in his catalog, page 108, in 1906.) Supplement to Bulletin 117, page 2, shows this peony in a group class.
