Large, vivid dark rose-pink guard petals, with narrow, lighter edges; compact center of long, pale pink petaloids with pointed tips and yellow at the base; reddish stigmas; slightly fragrant. Free blooming; foliage dark green. This is generally admitted to be of the Jap type; there are no vestiges of anthers on the central petals which are rather petaloids than staminodes.
