HELEN HAYES (Murawska, 1943) - Double - Dark Pink - Midseason. Tall. Dark pink, bomb type. Bulletin 92.

HELEN HESPANOLA - This could be an error in printing, for it is a list of peonies, and maybe there should have been a comma between the two words, and it would then be HELEN and HESPANOLA.  Bulletin 100, page 42.

HELEN HUGHES (Snook, 1940) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. Tall. Large medium pink of pleasing shade. Strong stems. List in Bulletin 91.

HELEN MATTHEWS (Saunders-Krekler, 1953) - Semi-Double - Brilliant Red - Early - Hybrid. Medium height. The medium sized flower has several rows of exceptionally brilliant red guard petals with a center of yellow stamens, red filaments. The carpels are white-green with pink stigmas. It is of medium height with good stems and holds its cupped shape a long time. Parentage unknown. Named for Mr. Krekler's step-mother. Bulletin 130

HELEN SASS (Sass, 1950) - Double - Bright Red - Midseason. Dark green foliage. Sass 1955 List and card.

HELEN SEARS (Smith-Krekler, 1954) - Jap. - Light Pink - Midseason. Tall, waist high. Jap. type with large, light lavender pink flowers, blooming midseason. Long 2" slender petaloids same color as guards except lower third cream colored. Carpels light green, tipped white. Bulletin 133.

HELEN WOLAVER (Brand) - Double - SeaShell-Pink - Very Late. M. List in Bulletin 130.

HENNAPIN (Auten, 1931) - Single - Red. Medium height. Brilliant black red single, medium size bloom. Bulletin 47.

HENRI CORE (Doriat, 1925) - Double - Flesh-Pink - M.

HENRI DEMAY (Calot, 1866) - Double - Anilin-Red - DISCARDED - M.

HENRIETTA HUNTINGTON (Sass) - Double - Pink - Early. Slightly fragrant. Light pink turning to white. Vigorous grower. Very floriferous. Stems not strong. Flowers very large and they fall down. Bulletin 89, page 26.

HENRIETTE CLARKE (MacDonald, 1948) - Double - White - Midseason. 3' or more in height. Rose fragrance. White with scarlet splashes on a few petals. Bomb shaped buds opening into compact, airy, rather flat blooms. Stems strong and wiry. Flowers about 7" in diameter. Floriferous. Good cut flowers. Few lateral buds. Bulletin 108.

HENRI MURGER (Crousse, 1895) - Double - Mauve-Rose - DISCARDED - M.

HENRI POTIN (Doriat, 1924) - Jap. - Pink - Late. Deep pink tinted carmine, with a bug tuft of filamentous petals gradually turning white and vivid yellow at the tips. M.

HENRY AVERY (Brand, 1907) - Double - Pink - Late. Medium height. Mild fragrance. Large. Guards and well-defined crown bright, light pink, with a collar of shorter creamy petals tinted yellow at base; floriferous; good stems and foliage. A handsome variety of variable tints but always showing a sharply differentiated collar. Cluster-flowering and excellent for garden decoration. M.

HENRY BOCKSTOCE (Bockstoce, 1955) - Double - Red - Early - Hybrid. Tall. Dark red double, rose center with good strong stems. Cross of an officinalis with albiflora on a IF single red with an albiflora white or pink. Bulletin 136.

HENRY M. VORIES (Vories, 1924) - Double - Pink - Late. Medium height. Flat, light pink blooms, darker toward the center. Held erect on a plant of good habit. M. List in Bulletin 60.

HENRY SASS (Sass-Inter-state, 1948) - Double - White - Late Midseason. Tall. Large pure white, high built, perfect form; truly magnificent. Strong stems, healthy grower and a free dependable bloomer every year. Wild's 1955 catalog.

HENRY ST. CLAIR (Brand, 1941) - Double - Red - Late Midseason. Brilliant red bomb which gives promise of being a fine cut flower variety. Fine stems. Named for an Indian friend of Mr. Brand's. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 130.

HENRY SWINDEN (Swinden, 1941) - Jap. - Red - Midseason to late. Tall. Dark red; center red, tipped with yellow. Large flower well above foliage. Bulletin 84.

HENRY WEBSTER (Franklin, 1928) - Double - Red - Very early. Tall. Fragrant. Medium red. Upright. Bulletin 35.

HENRY WOODWARD (Richardson & Jackson) Syn. GRANDIFLORA. Double - Pink - M. Coit #2673.

HERALD (Saunders, 1950) - Single - Red - Hybrid. Brilliant red. Triple hybrid: albiflora, officinalis, macrophylla. List in Bulletin 129.

HERALD STAR (Neeley, 1936) First named CRYSTAL CUP Double - Ivory White. Large to extra large, showing stamens. List in Bulletin 91.

HERBERT F. WARREN (Warren, 1924) - Double - Red - Very Early. Fragrance pleasing. Bomb shape. Solid shade of deep crimson holding color in the sun. Stiff, vigorous foliate. Bulletin 22.

HERICARTIANA (Guerin, 1842) - Double - Violet-Pink - DISCARDED - M.
