DEAREST (E. L. Roy Pehrson/Don Hollingsworth), Jan. 17, 1992. Seedling number Hollingsworth 1423, single hybrid. Parentage, Hybrid Dawn Glow x unknown. First bloomed before 1980. Early Pastel Hybrid, single very early to early, patterned with cream white petals edged and veined cool sharp pink, lighter at center, medium tall, broad bush, large leaflets, unique colored flower. Fertile both ways, presumed tetraploid. This seedling #1423 grown from seed produced by E. L. Roy Pehrson. Seed parent Dawn Glow (Bulletin #257), pollen parent not known. Very strong stems, 30-34 inches in height. Bulletin #281.

DEREK HILL (Derek Hill, Churchill, Letterkenny Co., Donegal, Ireland), Jan. 4, 1989. Single hybrid with parents lutea ludlowii and delavayi. First bloomed 1983. A good clear vivid medium to dark yellow with a distinct bright red flare radiating up three fourths of the large petals. It is very reliable, but has the same amount of bloom as its parents. Three and one half feet in height, foliage the same as the parent. Blooms in June. It is a flat form, with stamens and pollen. A color photograph of this flower was published in the Horticulture Magazine, London. Bulletin #270.

EARLY GLOW (Don Hollingsworth, Kansas City, Missouri), Jan. 17, 1992. Seedling #945, single hybrid. Parentage, Saunders seedling of Roselette's Child x Cream Delight. First year bloomed, before 1980. This early pastel bufiy ivory, single, hybrid has crimson stigmas with large flowers set close to the foliage. Sidebuds which extend flowering into midseason. Broad bush, good substance, fertile excellent in the landscape. Height to 30 inches. Bulletin #281.

EARLY STAR (Don Hollingsworth), April 14, 1993. Seedling number 676. Parentage, seed of Saunders 4992 by pollen of a Saunders seedling of Roselette's Child. Bloomed before 1980. Early pastel hybrid type, single, pale yellow to ivory white with red stigmas, very early, medium height. Floriferous, reliable, cupped six-inch flower with large center of stamens, broad bush, leaflets long and impress-veined, remains green into autumn. Seeds and pollen, fairly fast increase. Bulletin #286.

EASY LAVENDER (R. W. Tischler), 1993. Parentage unknown. Bright lavender-colored Japanese type of flower. 5 to 6 inch blooms on a 34 to 36-inch stem. Excellent dark green foliage. The plant stands heat well, and the many blooms open freely. Blooms midseason. Bulletin #288. Dec., 1993.

ELAINE NELSON (R. W. Tischler), 1993. Seedling #H-15; parentage unknown. A 6 to 8-inch, pure white, flat-type bloom on plants 28 to 30 inches tall. A good number of quality blooms on fairly strong stems. Blooms open easily. Excellent green foliage. Blooms late with the flower lasting a long time. Bulletin #288. Dec., 1993.

ELIZABETH ANNE (Scott Reath), 1996. Hybrid, pale peach, double.

FAITH (D. Steve Varner), Monticello, IL, July 5, 1996. Seedling #8020. Parentage Domoto hybrid x self. This semi-double tree peony is deep light pink, the form of Chalice. Three buds per stem, reliable, stamens, pollen, seeds, slight fragrance and good substance. Excellent strong stems holding the flower above the foliage. Height 36 inches, blooms early-midseason. Vigorous and good foliage. This variety stays compact and rounded. Good color carrying power.
